What is Life?

LIFE

I had asked this question before… And now someone else did…

My hubby’s friend asked this question.

I couldn’t help but smile, cause I knew the answer.

It’s when you’ve already died, but God gives it back so that you can live it for Him and make a change in someone else’s. 🙂

Tattoos

Find out first what it means to have a tattoo. Modern day believes it as an art, a statement of freedom to ones’ right to choose what they want to do with their body.

Just as the word is from God and He being the same God yesterday, today, and tomorrow, so is the fact that tattoos started from pagans who used it often to punish their prisoners, sinners of all types – including barbaric and violent people like the Huns, Picts, and Scynthians.

Now ask yourself why do you want to get a tattoo? There is pain, a feeling of relief, and a sensation that the flesh will yearn and ask for more. Not only will this please the flesh and what your eyes will see everyday for the rest of your life, but it will change, and it will fade. In time, what was once a beautiful rosé behind your leg will soon wilt to a discolored rose with vines (varicose veins :/ )

God’s word and promises will not change and nor will it fade. He died on the cross for all – everyone has sinned and all have fallen short before the glory of God. He does not want you to feel pain, nor be scarred by it… Thus His word,

“You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD. (Leviticus 19:28).”

The human body is so perfect in God’s eyes. So perfect, He says,

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body” (1Corinthians 6:19-20).

A tattoo that represents God or to please God, is more pleasing to the flesh than what we think will please The Lord. God has already put what is pleasing to Him already in His word.

Finally, decide whether your decision to get a tattoo (or not) is based off the human flesh (a physical need), Your faith in God, or the freedom of choice.

Now that you know the origin of tattoo (whether it be from a culture, another religion, belief, or social history), as a Christian, whether you’re a follower or leader, ask yourself this one last question and choose:

“And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” -Joshua 24:15

We all have the right to choose how we want to walk our path, but if one chooses to stand differently from others and wants to help lead as one of God’s warriors, do so with discernment and wisdom. Be truthful to the word and realize that our actions speak louder than words. We must be careful on WHAT is encouraged so that we don’t discourage WHO should be encouraged.

The Lord God suffered and died on the cross with a crown of thorns, nails on His hands and feet, and whips that’s so skin deep, He bled with every strike. What more is the meaning of His sacrifice if His word means nothing at all.

His tattoo is a scar that will forever open the gates of heaven for our hearts to choose whether His death makes us worthy of His love.

Shhh!

{In response to a friends post about Gossip:}

Thank you, Brother

Yes, it is encouraged that if there is gossip going around that the truth be faced with accountability. Do not face a false truth alone but with guidance from those whose wisdom come from The Lord.

Romans 12:19 –
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Our words come from our hearts and with Jesus as our witness, those who speak false truth will be rebuked and those accused will be uplifted with righteousness… “…out of the abundance of the heart our mouth speaks.”

The truth will set you free says the word, so if what the spirit allowed to release is also so that the truth be known, then: Deuteronomy 13:14 – “Then you must inquire, probe and investigate it thoroughly.” (NIV)

Great encouragement of rebuking this temptation, Dennis Salazar.

The Golden Rule: treat others the way you’d want to be treated…

Matthew 7:12 – “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” (NIV)

Gossip IS a sin. Nevertheless, Whether you are the sinner or was sinned against, instead of “taking an eye for an eye,” we as Christians shall love one another as Jesus did.

This is not a suggestion, it is a commandment (1 John 4:20). Also, “…love covers a multitude of sins.” -Mathew 19:19.

Without hesitation, also forgive as God forgave us. To not forgive is to hate and to hate leads to judgment. (Proverbs 17:17).

Matthew 18:21-22

Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.”

So, brothers and sisters, we only hope and pray for what great things God has in store for all.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” -James 5:16

Thank u for sharing again and God Bless.

Standing up

Ty for sharing. We stand for God and only for God. Anyone who puts God last or none at all doesn’t keep Him from loving you less. Instead, His presence brings understanding and comfort that He has plans for our lives. Though we say we choose how to live, God gave us Life and He knows our beginning and end. Anyone who does not believe that are blinded by the fact that our body is just a physical form away from the spiritual life we have after this one.

So I agree that when people ask to not Honor God in places where they want protection, healing, or guidance, don’t be surprised when mistakes happen, and then blame it on God. Why does God allow things to happen? For those who know the word, God uses our lives as a testimony for others to embrace. What is wrong is right and even when we think its right, it’s wrong.

We don’t always understand why or what God has in store for us, but the final truth is that He is the way, the truth, and the light… And He is a God worthy to be praised because even when there is wrong, He forgives… He sent His only begotten son to die on the cross for everyone (would u?)… Love is His greatest offer and request from everyone. There’s no harm in that is there? If we can just put fear, worry, hate, jealousy, and envy aside, Love would reside in every home and fill the black hole with hope, faith, trust, and content for the most important things in life.

God uses us to be a blessing to each other, starting from our homes, to work, and to school. Churches are a bonus, it’s a safe sanctuary where we can praise, worship, and fellowship with brothers and sisters.

I discipline my children, i pray for my family and friends (including the leaders – Presidents, teachers, boss, managers), and Most importantly, I share the blessings of God’s Love through me. And thats where we should all start… start with yourselves… don’t point at how someone else should do something, but instead ask, “How can I help?”

Michelle.
